In this video it shows the surreal and edits from the opening, as it has two opening titles with the title of "Viaje a la Luna - Le Voyage dans la lune" and then has a subtitle of A tirp to the moon. It cuts to the another opening title of just " Viaje a la Luna - Le Voyage dans la lune" and it adds like the director, plus the company "star film". After this it continues with the story of them inside like a church, and people dressed as wizards come in and like the helpers like give them a huge eye glass type of thing and when their tutor type of person comes in, they all raise their eye glass thing and then magically it changes into stools but this is just one of the first match and jump cuts used to portray their idea of being wizards, as they grab the stool and sit down for 'lesson'.
At around about 2:58 they use a overlay effect where they over lay the scene of them leaving the school and going to the next scene and during this it also fades out into the and onto the next scene. This is basically called an temporal overlap, as they're inside and then it switches to them outside when they leave frame from the scene before.

To make it look like their standing on top of a roof after they don't know how to make it so it you're on the roof but in reality its just like a green screen, they use just a background of rooftops. This shows their effect of recording high point areas. After this you can see that they put them in the "rocket" like ship to try blast them off into the moon and then lock them into the hole, where it jump cuts into the next scene where's just a clear long like image of a cannon facing to the moon and they shoot it and they add the special effect of smoke which comes out at the end.

Next scene jump cuts to an first person angle shot, of basically being the rocket shooting towards the moon and they use like zoom in effect, to make it look like they're flying to the moon and it's like an animation of them zooming in constantly to create that moving effect. But, in reality they're just enlarging the size of moon on the scene, which creates this effect to viewers of flying or zooming into and through the sky.

As the moon gets bigger or in this case, them getting closer they edit a face onto the moon which shows them as if they're getting closer u can see the moon has a face, and they animate it to where it moves too. And finally, they edit it so it jump cuts from normal, creating a match cut where as if they rocket has went into the moons eye and the moon sticks his tongue out.

They use smoke effects and to show an explosion and then fire appears, and they decide to sleep and then they add an overlay effect while they're sleeping of stars above their heads to show it's night time . Finally, throughout the whole movie towards the end, they just the same effects of tableuos from the beginning, match cuts and jump cuts, and they fade in and fade outs and then temporal overlap and also smoke effect and weather effects.
