Journalism Task 1A - Examples products
What are digitally published products and how are they used?
In this task you need to draw up a table, a mind map or
similar, in which you explain the uses of different digitally published
products. For each one, you need to give an example of a real product, and how
it is used (for example, to inform, educate, entertain, market/ promote,
provide advice / support, persuade).
Include the following products:
- E-newspapers - An online version of a newspaper. This educates and informs users on internet of recent news from the newspaper articles. Which also allows less paper production and shares across a wider market audience - increasing revenue too. This informs people that there's "boxing day gales".
- E-magazines - An electronic version of a magazine. This entertains and informs audiences of certain genres people are interested in and, it allows ad's to be shared across multi people, which also allows less paper production - increasing revenue too; "commercial/information purpose". This informs them about "Barack Obama".
- Adverts - This is used through all methods; e-magazines etc. As this is a way of marketing because it allows the company to advert their product and share their purpose across millions online. And, this is the purpose advertisement; sell their idea/product and create a market income.
- DVD or CD covers - These are to sell the movie and share their work to audiences to watch/ movies which are released on DVDS/CD can be kept forever and be used on the go. The purpose of cd covers allow them to sell their product as it's a method of advertisement.
- Flyers - Purpose for this is to market and promote by persuading people there's discounts on their items.
- Leaflets - The purpose of this is too inform and promote advice for whatever they're trying to campaign for. This allows them to reach a wider audience range as it advertises to more people 'online.
- Training materials / instruction manuals - The purpose for this is to advertise their course to individuals looking into such material and it wants to market their course, promote their training courses too.
- Text and copy for moving image and audio products -
- Interactive media - This is representing any media such as websites can be accessed and alternatively access by the public on the websites, this helps them engage more and persuades them too engage more as they have features of sharing etc.
- Promotional material - This is to promote their material/product and their purpose for this would just to advertise their products, so if someone buys it and another person sees them using the product and wants it too, they can just search up the name and find it easily.
- E-books - Online version of books. The purpose would to entertain and educate, and allows users to travel everywhere with one single product which gives them access to every and any book available online.
