The jump cut is a transition with two short consecutive shots of the same subject edited together. Here's an example.
The Superimposition shot is when two shots overlap, to create a comparison between two different scenarios. Here's an example.
Montage editing is when multiple short shots are edited together in a sequence to shorten time, space & information. Here's an example.
Split screen editing is when the video screen is split into half applying two different scenes on both sides. This is to represent two different scenarios with mainly the same intentions. Here's an example.
Breaking the 180 degree rule is when the 180 degree line is crossed over and the positioning of the characters change sides, breaking this rule can cause confusion to the viewers sense of the scene. Here's an example.
Slow motion and speeded up shots is when specific shots in a video, are slowed down to give a scene more meaning by emphasizing the smaller details. It can also be used to make the scene seem more epic and interesting. Here's an example.
Freeze frames is when a scene in a video freezes and creates a still image. This can be used to represent a characters emotions. Here's an example.
No or limited cutting to close shots is when multiple cutting techniques are applied to a movie, preferably after an establishing shot. The cuts which are mostly used are ranged from; a close up shot, to a mid shot, to an extreme long shot. Here's an example.
Visual effects such as CGI, Green screen, stop motion, morphing and many more are effects which manipulated outside the videos live content. Here's an example.
