Brief 2: Unit 14 - Task 2a
- Produce a digital pre-production portfolio which helps you to plan out your digital publishing products. Include the following:
- A prop and costume list
- Call sheets
- A recce for location photography
- Booking sheets for camera / photography studio
- A contact sheet including any test shots
- Templates and formats for your page layouts on InDesign including font size / type, colour scheme, grids, hierarchy of type, text, image)
- Mocks up using found images and dummy text
For my digital pre-production portfolio, I will need the following to help me to create my article; For the prop & costume list, I will need certain props to represent famous London foods; such as a white food box, full with chips & fish, and then for example, famous breakfast meal and I would have a plate with the famous foods; sausages, beans, toast, etc. The costume list is not really what I will be looking out for or necessarily need, because I won't really be talking pictures of anyone, but if needed in certain areas for example holding a box of fish & chips- like a traditional London's breakfast meal , I would have someone wearing a suit - without the blazer, holding the fish & chips, and then with the chicken & chips, a person wearing a tracksuit (casual east London style).
This is my call sheet for my the two of my articles;
-
The recce list for locations I will include in my article such as food places & the tourists attraction places are below. However, for the main attraction of my article, the picture for location will change 'each week', because I will be posting a different & new tourist places/locations for people to guess. However, these two different genres of my articles will converge with each other, as in people will guess where some of the famous restaurants are located such as Nando's etc. But these are the locations I will be first using for both my two articles.
-Tourists attractions:
This is the email I wrote to the media management team; for booking the DSLR cameras, so I can take photographs of the locations etc. This camera will be used for my two articles, and the taking pictures of the tourist locations, the chicken & fish/ chips stores & like pictures of people eating.
I have used Photoshop to create a model mock up version for my magazines article, and I've represented it as a double page spread.
This is an example of a mock up I will use for my second article
The templates and format will be similar to the mocks ups, meaning the title will be on oneside at the top, and below that will be like font size like Bold and italic, and the colours will be bright and I may add strokes for the real. Below will be the title like 'guess today'
and then the image, and this will all be on the left hand side, but then on the left hand side (since I'm doing it as double page spread) it will have the heading at the top and the date in small in the top left corner, and the heading will be bold and bigger than the main article text, and below the heading it will have article written, and then a picture too.
