Unit 10/1CD - Task1d
You
are to produce a photographer’s call and planning sheet to show the planning of
your photography shoots. The following is to be addressed in your call and
planning sheets.
● considerations
- subject
- availability of resources, e.g. space, time, personnel
- bookings (studio time/space, models, equipment)
- test shots
- image resolution, e.g. RAW files, compressed files
- pixel size (in relation to final image size)
- ASA/ISO (American Standards Association/International Standards Organisation),
- e.g. film speed, speed versus pixilation, available light
- location (exterior) assessment (weather, light, positioning, permissions, risk assessment)
- Interior (or studio) assessment (light source, power supply. risk assessment (e.g. trailing cables, hot lamps), sets).
For my photography shoots I will be constructing my planning sheet by having each set consideration in place starting from; The subject will be different techniques used while taking photographs, availability of resources, I will be just taking pictures in college of anything; so my test shots will first just be using the camera, and trying to adjust towards the different techniques; I'll take pictures of anything in the college, and pictures of people for example Jakub (to illustrate mise en scene). Bookings, I've emailed the media department, and requested for a Cannon camera and a tripod too, because this will be the equipment needed, also I've booked a class room just for me to take a few pictures in there, of my model which I've also booked out for 1day, and finally studio time too, so I can edit anything and rearrange the photographs I need to analysis. Image resolutions will be kept as they've come out, so normally just in 1080p, and widescreen, however some pictures are different because I've taken from landscape to portrait - portrait of Jakub posing to get close ups/ overall shots for mise en scene. But, the files will be JPEGS/RAW. The pixel size is 1080p, 60fps. I will consider ASA/ISO with my images, because I want to ensure I can advertise it successfully, and ensure I have no copyrighted material, and any images I use will not cause me any trouble or any content I publish will not harm anyone's career or offend anyone's gender/sexuality. I will ensure I take pictures which contain all the proper camera techniques; lighting, mise en scene, exposure, aperture, focus, speed etc. The location will be set in college, but if I need to take pictures outside I will ensure the weather is good dependent on what I want to take pictures of (specific areas & lighting etc), but I will have to ensure the risk assessment while taking the photographs, the model is not harmed in anyway, the camera doesn't break or drop; ensure the equipment's are all given back in perfect condition etc.
